In her most recent post, Zeenat recounted a distressing episode from the previous night, during which she struggled to swallow her blood pressure medication and nearly choked.

In her most recent Instagram update, Zeenat stated, "I may sound like an elderly woman struggling with her medication, but I feel compelled to recount the events of last night.

After a lengthy day of filming at a studio in Andheri East, I returned home to find an overjoyed Lily. After providing her with the attention she deserves, I quickly proceeded with my evening routine. The final step before I could finally drift off to sleep was to take my blood pressure medication.

I placed the pill in my mouth and took a sip of water, only to feel a sudden constriction in my throat. The pill had become lodged, positioned too far down to bring back up and too far up to swallow. Although I could still breathe, it felt constricted. I took another sip of water, followed by several more until the glass was empty, yet the pill remained stubbornly stuck."

There’s no dramatic ending to this story

The actress shared her subsequent experience, stating: "I was alone at home with only my dog and five cats, and anxiety began to overwhelm me. The doctor's line was busy, prompting me to make urgent calls to @zanuski, who promptly abandoned his plans to come to my aid. As I awaited his arrival, the discomfort in my throat intensified. My mind was consumed by the thought of that troublesome medication hindering my ability to breathe easily. This narrative does not culminate in a dramatic conclusion. Zahaan arrived, we eventually reached the doctor, who reassured us that the issue would resolve itself in due time, and I spent the following hours sipping warm water and waiting.

This morning, I felt somewhat embarrassed about the entire incident. However, having experienced it, I find it necessary to derive a metaphor from the situation. Life will invariably present challenges that require more patience than action. The pill symbolizes such moments. It dominated my thoughts, its discomfort was severe, I sought assistance from others, yet ultimately, I had to cultivate patience and manage my own anxieties. When it finally dissolved, it proved beneficial for me."

She concluded with the observation, "At times, it is crucial to address a problem directly. To confront, challenge, and instigate change. Yet, there are instances when a situation calls for gentler responses of patience, restraint, and composure.

These are my reflections for today, accompanied by a photograph from a test shoot conducted last year!" 

Zeenat is set to appear next in the Netflix series The Royals and the film Bun Tikki, which features Abhay Deol and Shabana Azmi.
