Actor Zeenat Aman frequently shares her genuine thoughts and experiences from her long career on Instagram, reminiscing about her time with various co-stars. Recently, she held an AMA session on Reddit, where she responded to a bunch of questions from users. One fan asked if there was a role from recent years that she felt she could have taken on, and Zeenat mentioned a character that Priyanka Chopra portrayed.

Zeenat's reply

A Reddit user posed a question to Zeenat during the AMA, saying, “Hi there! I’m curious, while watching the latest Bollywood movies, have you ever thought, 'I could have totally rocked that role back in the day?'”

Zeenat replied, “I can’t say for sure that I would have rocked it, but I would have loved the opportunity to portray Priyanka Chopra's character in Bajirao Mastani. It was such a layered role that really caught my attention.”

Many users chimed in after her response, agreeing that the seasoned actress would have definitely excelled in that part. Priyanka played Kashibai in the 2015 film, which also featured Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the historical drama earned Priyanka numerous accolades.

Another user asked Zeenat about the differences in the film industry now compared to the 70s. She responded, “I get that people often criticize the Hindi film industry, and a lot of it is justified. However, one big positive change I've noticed is that women are now involved at every level, really making their mark and proving their skills. Back in my day, it was common to be the only woman on set! So, this is a huge difference for me.”

On the work front, Zeenat is set to appear in the Netflix series The Royals and the film Bun Tikki.
