Zeenat Aman Returns to Instagram After Health Scare, Opens Up About Her Absence
15 days ago | 5 Views
Veteran actor Zeenat Aman has returned to Instagram following a brief hiatus. The actor posted a new update on Friday evening disclosing that she has been recuperating from a health concern, which required her to be hospitalized. Additionally, the actor commemorated two years since she originally joined Instagram and seized the chance to express her gratitude to her fans for their love and support.
What Zeenat mentioned
In the initial image that Zeenat shared, she was shown in the hospital's recovery room, indicating with her fingers towards another person who was out of view in the shot. The following image depicted her covering her left eye while sitting upright, with a food tray placed in front of her on the bed. In the caption, Zeenat started by saying, “Greetings from the recovery room! I can’t fault you for assuming I’ve given up on my social media goals. My profile has indeed been rather quiet and lacking enthusiasm lately. As the popular Indian proverb states - what can be done? ”
She mentioned, “The tedium of paperwork and the stress of an upcoming medical procedure have occupied my thoughts these last few weeks. However, as I begin to come out on the other side of this situation, I’m feeling motivated to pursue storytelling on Instagram. You see, there’s nothing quite like the grim, clinical chill of a hospital to make one reflect on what it means to be alive and have a voice! So anticipate more cinematic snippets, more personal stories, more fashion, more dogs and cats, and yes… most certainly more opinions. Is there a subject you would like me to explore? Leave it in the comments, and I’ll definitely select a few to focus on. ”
Instagram doesn't reflect real life
Marking her two years journey on Instagram, she then wrote, “On a related note, I reached the two-year mark on social media in February and surpassed 800,000 followers this April. I began this journey with anxiety that shifted to empowerment, which then led to disillusionment and has now evolved into a newfound curiosity! I appreciate what this platform offers me, but there’s an aspect of the dynamics of monetised social media that’s disconcerting. As I interact with you here and occasionally monetise this account, it’s crucial for me to remind you that Instagram is NOT reality. The days of straightforward TV and print advertisements, where it was evident - celebrity promotes product, are behind us. Endorsements can now be subtle and undisclosed, followers purchased, images unrecognizably altered, and likes artificially generated! It’s a source of pride for me that we have expanded this community without resorting to these ethically questionable tactics. ”
She added, “Now many of you take me more seriously than my own sons, so pay close attention when I say - you do not need to spend 6 hours daily mindlessly scrolling through your feed. Take it from an older lady, and mute those accounts that make you feel bad about yourself, amplify your anxieties or encourage you to buy, buy, buy! ”
“I’m very much looking forward to your engagement as I recuperate. Sending many hugs and best wishes from your dear Aunty Z, who is in a cheerful mood this evening,” read her concluding lines.
Several fans wished Zeenat a swift recovery in the comments section of the post and praised her lovely note.
On the professional front, Zeenat will appear in the Netflix series The Royals. The show premieres on May 9.
