4 months ago | 44 Views
The world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently at the forefront, making headlines. So much is happening in and around the MCU that keeping track is next to impossible. There is a movie up for release, Deadpool & Wolverine, the only MCU theatrical release for the year. It has the responsibility to revive the MCU in a much bigger way because there is no room for small steps at this point. Additionally, the movie has an even bigger step to take in order to break even at the box office. On a different front, Kevin Feige, Marvel President, is set to take center stage at San Diego Comic-Con this Saturday, and the world is completely pumped up for it. But that's not all—we have more rumors to discuss.
The rumor mill has been working overtime. While Deadpool & Wolverine has been the biggest contender for most of the rumors, a lot has been said about other projects too. The MCU bosses have been working to reshape the Multiverse Saga plan after the chaos and reshuffle the studio had to go through. So now there are some unknown plans and wild rumors about already confirmed projects, including Spider-Man 4, Avengers 5, Avengers: Secret Wars, and Blade.
This period has been especially dramatic for many reasons because the makers are definitely putting all the work on fast track. There are four wild rumors about various MCU projects that have newly surfaced in the last couple of days, and you cannot miss them. Read on to know everything you should about the same.
MCU Rumour Round-Up
Emma Stone for a Secret Role
Emma Stone has been a name associated with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the rumors a lot. The first time she was in the mill was when it was said Emma was considered to play Sue Storm in The Fantastic Four. Things did not work out because Stone reportedly asked for a much higher fee (which makes sense considering she has two Oscars now). But the latest one, as per My Time To Shine Hello, is that she is in talks for a top-secret project with the MCU bosses. She will be playing a superhero, but there is no clarity on which one.
Chris Evans in Avengers: Secret Wars
Chris Evans is the blue-eyed boy of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that the studio will never be able to forget. The actor, who passed on the Captain America mantle to Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson in Avengers: Endgame, has been in the rumors for his return. But there has been no substantial update on it. Turns out we are back again discussing another rumor that says Chris has been locked to play Steve Rogers in Avengers: Secret Wars and he will reprise the part in the sixth Avengers movie. You read that right. The news comes from the same scooper.
Spider-Man 4’s Director Tug of War
The tug of war over Spider-Man 4, about every aspect of it, has been making news. While Sony and Marvel continue to find a middle ground to make the movie, a director hunt has been on forever. With Jon Watts out of the picture, as confirmed by Kevin Feige, rumors have it that Sam Raimi has been shortlisted for the job to take the franchise ahead after Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, on the Hot Mic Podcast, John Rocha said that Fast and Furious director Justin Lin is also in the mix now. However, Jeff Snider said that Feige will not settle on a director until the script is locked.
You can watch Spider-Man: No Way Home on SonyLIV in India and also with your OTTplay Premium subscription.
A Wolverine vs. Hulk Movie
That Hugh Jackman returns as Logan and joins the MCU bandwagon gives so much room for the makers to experiment and bring in mutant stories that haven't been told yet. So there is an update from My Time To Shine Hello that a Wolverine vs. Hulk movie is now in development at the Marvel campus. What also substantiates this rumor is the glimpse of Hulk fighting Logan in Deadpool & Wolverine.
