It has been reported that the Zee Bangla serial Mithi Jhora might come to an end in August. Evidently, the fans were saddened. Nowadays, many serials are axed suddenly due to poor TRP. However, some sources close to the unit of the serial confirmed that Mithi Jhora will not come to an end immediately.
The fans can have a sigh of relief. The serial is not ending. According to a report in Hindustan Times Bangla, two actors from the serial confirmed it. Saptarshi Roy, who plays Shourya in Mithi Jhora, said, “I did not get any such news.” Suman Dey, who plays Anirban, said, “I don’t have such information.”
Suman Dey posted a video on his Instagram account and said that the serial would not end. ‘I am sorry that such news spread.’ He shared the TRP and said that Mithi Jhora was in the tenth position this week, getting a score of 5.2. He also confirmed that the serial would be seen at 9.30 PM, Monday to Friday. Mithi Jhora streams on Zee5 and is available on OTTplay Premium.
Two months back, Mithi Jhora was sent to the 10.00 PM slot from its 9.30 PM position. But a new promo said that it would be seen at 9.45 PM, starting on June 4. Then the slot was again changed to 9.30 PM. Frequent changes caused the rumor of the serial getting axed. Aratrika Maiti plays Raipurna Sen in the serial. Debadrita Basu plays Nilanjana Roy, the antagonist.
