Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, one of Bollywood's most beloved on-screen couples, have captivated audiences with their amazing chemistry in movies such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. In a promotional interview for Dilwale with NDTV, the duo shared their thoughts on whether they would have considered dating if they were both single.

When asked if they would have dated if they were both single, Kajol said, “Honestly, I’m not sure because I think I was already with Ajay (Devgn, her husband) when we were about six months into filming Baazigar.” Shah Rukh chimed in with his usual humor, saying, “I was also dating Ajay back then.”

Kajol and Shah Rukh first appeared together in Baazigar, where SRK received acclaim for his role as a morally ambiguous character. Their on-screen chemistry made them a beloved duo in films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and My Name Is Khan.

Before Shah Rukh Khan made his mark in Bollywood, he married Gauri after dating for six years in a Hindu wedding ceremony. They had their first child, Aryan, in 1997, and their daughter, Suhana, followed in 2000. In 2013, they completed their family with the arrival of their third child, AbRam. Meanwhile, Kajol began her relationship with Ajay Devgn in 1994, and they got married in 1999 in a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony at his home. Together, they have two kids: daughter Nysa Devgan and son Yug Devgan.

Shah Rukh recently appeared in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, which turned out to be a box office hit. His upcoming project is an action thriller directed by Siddharth Anand, called King. This film is rumored to feature his daughter Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan in significant roles, with production expected to start this year. Meanwhile, Kajol is set to star in the horror film Maa, directed by Vishal Furia, which is scheduled to hit theaters on June 27, 2025.
