Justin Baldoni has initiated a lawsuit seeking $400 million against actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, targeting their estimated combined net worth of $380 million, as reported by the Daily Mail. This figure reflects the couple's substantial financial standing.

In December, Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment, a charge he firmly denies. These allegations, which were elaborated upon in a New York Times article, led Baldoni to file a defamation lawsuit against the publication before his countersuit against Lively and Reynolds earlier this month.

Baldoni's legal action claims that Lively and Reynolds conspired to damage his reputation and asserts that Lively interfered with the production of the film "It Ends With Us." He further alleged that during the film's premiere, he and his family were confined to a basement holding area to prevent any interaction with Lively.

A source informed the Daily Mail, "Justin Baldoni selected the $400 million figure because it aligns with Blake and Ryan's estimated combined net worth. Should they succeed in their endeavours, Justin would face the loss of everything he has worked for throughout his career."

The source added, "He has already experienced job losses, including his podcast, and has been dropped by his agent. Previously, he was thriving. Those close to Justin believe that Blake and Ryan should face severe financial consequences for attempting to disrupt the lives of Justin and others entangled in this legal situation."

Lively’s attorneys slam Baldoni’s lawsuit as ‘abuser playbook’

Baldoni's legal action also alleges that Reynolds verbally assaulted him during a meeting held at the couple's penthouse in New York. Reynolds was reportedly acting as Lively's representative to address concerns regarding Baldoni's behavior.

Lively's legal team characterized the lawsuit as "another chapter in the abuser playbook."

"This is a familiar narrative: A woman comes forward with substantial evidence of sexual harassment and retaliation, and the perpetrator seeks to shift blame onto the victim. This phenomenon is known as DARVO: Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim Offender."

Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freedman, defended the countersuit, describing it as containing "an overwhelming amount of unaltered evidence illustrating Blake Lively and her team's deceitful efforts to undermine Justin Baldoni, his team, and their respective businesses," and further stated, "This is a conflict she will not prevail in and will undoubtedly come to regret."
