Actors Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya have made their debut as a couple in the magazine world. They grace the cover of Vogue magazine's April issue, which showcases a vibrant design reminiscent of the 1970s. In the accompanying interview, Sobhita shared insights into the origins of their love story.

How Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya's love story began

Sobhita Dhulipala recounts that the initial spark of their relationship ignited from a straightforward AMA question posed by a fan on Instagram. Notably, he had followed her on the platform, yet she had not reciprocated. “While reviewing the questions, I came across one that inquired, ‘Why aren’t you following Chay Akkineni?’ I was taken aback. I then visited his profile and noticed he was following only about 70 individuals, myself included. I felt a slight sense of flattery and decided to follow him back.”

Shortly thereafter, they began conversing through direct messages, and in April 2022, Chay arranged a flight to Mumbai for their inaugural breakfast date.

Reflecting on their romance, Sobhita remarked, “There was no dramatic moment; it unfolded quite naturally.” They introduced each other to their families, and eventually, Chay proposed. The couple tied the knot in December of the previous year.

A happy, intimate wedding

The wedding ceremony took place at the renowned Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, attended by the couple's closest friends and family. The event showcased Telugu cultural traditions, with rituals conducted under the supervision of respected elders.

For this significant occasion, Sobhita chose a gold Kanjivaram silk saree adorned with authentic gold zari, reflecting her cultural heritage. In contrast, Chay donned a classic white ensemble.

Naga Chaitanya was formerly married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, with their separation publicly announced via a joint statement on social media in October 2021.

In August 2024, the Dhootha actor publicly acknowledged his relationship with Sobhita by sharing images from their engagement ceremony.

Naga Chaitanya's recent projects include appearances alongside Sai Pallavi in Thandel and with Sobhita in Dev Patel's Monkey Man.
