Archana Puran Singh, a prominent member of The Great Indian Kapil Show, reminisced about her past encounter with Rekha, who appeared in an episode of the show. On Friday, Archana took to Instagram to share a collection of photographs featuring the two of them together.

In the images, Archana and Rekha struck various poses for the camera, both beaming with joy. For the episode, Rekha donned a cream and red saree, while Archana opted for a shimmery black top paired with a grey blazer and coordinating pants. The two embraced each other during their poses, and Archana also included a solo photograph of herself.

In her post, she reflected, "When I first watched Rekhaji in Sawan Bhadon, I was a young child in a small town, with little hope of ever visiting Bombay... and certainly no expectation of meeting her in person! Years later, I had the opportunity to work alongside her in Ladai, where she graciously invited me to her makeup room and offered me guidance on makeup application and the use of false eyelashes, a trend she is credited with popularizing in Bollywood (heart eyes emoji)."

When Rekha spoke about a ‘he’ with Archana

I recall moments spent with her on the Filmcity lawn, engaging in light-hearted conversation. When I inquired about the identity of the 'he' she mentioned, she playfully responded, "You don't know who HE is?" (Grinning face with smiling eyes and face with sunglasses emojis). She embodies warmth and vitality, a true living legend, and it has been an immense pleasure to know her and to meet her on each occasion. It is a testament that dreams can indeed materialize for young children from humble beginnings (face holding back tears and two hearts emojis).

Archana concluded her message by expressing gratitude, "Thank you, Rekhaji, for making that episode unforgettable. I will always cherish the iconic live performance with @krushna30 that evening (red heart emoji)! @netflix_in."

Sawan Bhadon (1970), directed by Mohan Segal, was the debut film for Rekha, Navin Nischol, and Ranjeet. The cast also included Jayshree T and Iftekhar.

Ladaai (1989) is an action film helmed by Deepak Shivdasani. In addition to Archana, it featured Mithun Chakraborty, Rekha, Dimple Kapadia, Mandakini, and Anupam Kher, among others.
