Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi's film Amaran has emerged as one of the most-viewed Tamil movies of 2024. The narrative centres around the real-life account of Major Mukund Varadarajan, a commissioned officer in the Rajput Regiment of the Indian Army. He was posthumously honoured with the Ashoka Chakra for his bravery during an anti-terrorist operation while serving with the 44th Rashtriya Rifles Battalion in Jammu and Kashmir. Following its release on OTT platforms, Amaran has received enthusiastic acclaim from both audiences and critics. Recently, Janhvi Kapoor has also expressed her admiration for the film.

On December 31, Janhvi Kapoor utilized her Instagram story to share a still from the film Amaran, which stars Sai Pallavi and Sivakarthikeyan. The actress selected this film as her final cinematic experience of the year 2024.

In her commendation of the film, Janhvi expressed, "I may be late to this, but what a magical, poignant, and moving piece of cinema. What a remarkable way to conclude the year—by watching the most heartwarming and heart-wrenching film of the year."
