Rumors about their relationship started swirling when they were seen ringing in the New Year together in Goa, just a few months before Lust Stories 2 hit the screens in 2023.

This anthology marked the first time Vijay and Tamannaah shared the screen, directed by Sujoy Ghosh. It seems they grew closer while working on the project. After a lot of speculation, Tamannaah finally confirmed their romance in a June interview with Film Companion. Since then, the couple has been pretty open about their feelings, often leaving sweet comments on each other's social media and showing up together at various events.

In a recent chat with Hindustan Times, Tamannaah addressed the buzz about them possibly tying the knot next year. She expressed, “I’m really happy in life right now. Marriage could happen, why not?”

She also mentioned, “For me, marriage and career are not connected. I’m very ambitious and plan to keep acting even after I get married.”
