Wayanad landslide: Prabhas donates Rs 2 crore to CM’s relief fund

Telugu actor Prabhas is the latest to donate for the victims of Wayanad floods which has been creating a havoc in the state. The Kalki 2898 AD actor has donated a sum of Rs 2 crore to the Kerala Chief Minister's Relief Fund in order to help the victims who have been facing losses due to the landslides.
Prabhas donates to Wayanad Landslide relief
A heavy rainfall on July 30 in the Wayanad district of Kerala prompted landslide to occur, causing human loss and destruction in the place. As of now, the death toll has neared 400 people, with many undergoing treatments for their injuries. The rainfall and subsequent landslide have ravaged the district, with many people noted as missing.
The rescue operations are undertaken by the government of Kerala in the district of Wayanad, where the landslides have occurred. Many celebrities have come forth to donate to the relief fund and the latest is actor Prabhas who has given Rs two crore to the Kerala Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Previously, actors Mohanlal, Mamootty, Vikram, Suriya and Karthi have come forth to make their donations.
Mohanlal, who is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army, visited the affected areas in Wayanad, on August 3. He was accompanied by army men, to the affected areas while wearing his uniform.
Prabhas’ line-up
Prabhas, who was last seen in pan-Indian film Kalki 2898 AD, will be next shooting for upcoming Telugu film titled Raja Saab. It is touted to be a romantic comedy horror film and will be directed by filmmaker Maruthi. The actor will also be making a special appearance in upcoming Telugu film Kannappa, which is headlined by Vishnu Manchu.
He also has a film titled Spirit with filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The makers are yet to announced the cast and crew of the film, along with the release date.
