Actor-producer Vishnu Manchu is presently engaged in promoting his highly anticipated mythological drama, Kannappa. The film boasts an impressive lineup of cameo appearances from notable stars such as Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Vishnu disclosed the financial arrangements regarding the cameos of superstars Prabhas and Mohanlal.
Prabhas, Mohanlal's fees for Kannappa
Regarding the fees of Prabhas and Mohanlal for Kannappa, Vishnu Manchu indicated that both actors required no persuasion to participate. They expressed their willingness to shoot at any time, motivated by their affection for his father. He further revealed that both superstars declined to accept any payment for their roles, stating, “They both did not charge a single penny. They are both so significant that they didn’t need to take on this character. When I inquired with Mohanlal sir about discussing financial matters with his manager, he chuckled and remarked, ‘So you think you’ve become a big boy now?’ Individuals like him and Prabhas reinforce my belief in the importance of friendships.”
Previously, the actor-producer mentioned in an interview that Akshay Kumar had initially turned down his offer on two occasions before he was ultimately persuaded to embody the role of Lord Shiva for contemporary audiences. In the film, Mohanlal will portray Kirata, while Prabhas will take on the role of The Divine Guardian Rudra.
