Actor Vikrant Massey recently surprised his fans by revealing his intention to take an extended hiatus from acting, leading many to speculate about the possibility of his retirement. Nevertheless, Vikrant has returned to work and is presently filming his upcoming movie in Dehradun.

Vikrant was recently seen in Dehradun, where he is presently filming his forthcoming movie, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, alongside Shanaya Kapoor. This sighting follows Vikrant's announcement regarding his decision to take a hiatus from acting, which generated considerable excitement among his fanbase.

As the filming commenced in Dehradun, Vikrant was observed donning a black puffer jacket. A video has emerged on social media depicting his encounter with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, in which he was seen warmly greeting the politician. The two were engaged in a handshake and conversation. In the meantime, Shanaya was seen wearing a sweater paired with denim pants.

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan will delve into a modern interpretation of romance and the phenomenon of ghosting. Currently, the details of the plot are not disclosed. According to reports, the film is helmed by director Santosh Singh and produced by Mansi and Varun Bagla. The screenplay has been crafted by Niranjan Iyengar and Mansi Bagla, while the musical score will be created by Vishal Mishra.

Vikrant intends to take a vacation.

On Monday, Vikrant took to Instagram to announce his decision to take a hiatus from acting after 2025. He expressed, “The past few years and beyond have been extraordinary. I am grateful to each and every one of you for your unwavering support. However, as I look ahead, I recognize that it is time to reassess and return home. As a husband, father, and son, as well as an actor.” He further stated, “Therefore, in 2025, we will meet for one final time. Until the moment is right. The last two films and countless memories over the years. Thank you once more for everything and all that lies in between.”

The actor subsequently clarified that his earlier statement did not imply retirement. In an interview with News18 Showsha, Vikrant addressed the misconceptions surrounding his supposed departure from acting.

Vikrant expressed, "I am not retiring; rather, I am experiencing burnout and require an extended break. I miss my home, and my health has also been declining. My recent social media post has been misunderstood. Acting is my passion and has provided me with everything I possess. However, both my physical and mental well-being have suffered. I wish to take a hiatus to enhance my skills. Currently, I feel a sense of monotony. My message has been misconstrued as an announcement of my retirement from acting. Instead, I intend to dedicate time to my family and health. I will return when the moment feels appropriate."
