Actor Vikrant Massey has discussed the reasons behind his decision to take a break from his professional commitments. In an interview with Agenda AajTak, Vikrant indicated that the influence of social media played a significant role in his choice to publicly announce this hiatus. He further expressed that he has finally attained the life he has always envisioned, leading him to conclude that it was the appropriate moment to embrace it.

Vikrant expressed, “I have finally achieved the life I always envisioned, and I believe it is time to embrace it. I intend to take a break, as everything in life is fleeting; hence, I will only be involved in one film next year. I acknowledge that social media pressure played a significant role in my decision to announce this hiatus. I live a public life, yet I tend to be somewhat introverted. Engaging with social media is necessary, but if given a choice, I would prefer to participate selectively, sharing only when I feel compelled to do so.”

“Moreover, with the birth of my son, I found it challenging to dedicate quality time to him and my wife. All these events were occurring simultaneously. This is why I mentioned in my Instagram post that, in my roles as an actor, son, father, and husband, it was essential for me to reassess my priorities. After reflecting on my professional journey, I pondered, 'What more could I have accomplished as an actor in this country?' I aspire to enhance my skills as an artist moving forward,” he concluded.

About Vikrant's break from acting

Vikrant's decision to take a break from acting was revealed shortly after the premiere of his recent film, The Sabarmati Report. In a post on Instagram, he expressed his gratitude, stating, “The past few years have been extraordinary. I am thankful to every one of you for your unwavering support. However, as I look ahead, I recognize that it is time to reassess and return home. As a Husband, Father, Son, and also as an Actor. Therefore, in 2025, we will meet for one final time. Until the moment is right. The last two films and countless memories. Thank you once more. For everything and all that lies in between. Forever grateful.”

Vikrant's next film

Following his announcement, Vikrant was seen in Dehradun filming his next project, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, alongside Shanaya Kapoor. This film is set to present a modern interpretation of romance and the concept of ghosting. Details regarding the storyline remain confidential at this time. Reports indicate that Santosh Singh is directing the film.
