Actor Vikrant Massey has recently clarified the confusion surrounding his announcement that he was retiring from acting. Following a wave of speculation from fans and the media, he explained that his original statement had been misinterpreted. Instead of stepping away permanently, Massey intends to take a temporary break to focus on personal matters.

Vikrant clarifies

In an interview with News18 Showsha, Vikrant expressed that he is not leaving the industry for good but is feeling "burned out" and needs time off to prioritize his health and family. "I’m not retiring… Just burned out. Need a long break....." he stated.

His comments came after he attended the screening of his latest film, The Sabarmati Report, at the Balayogi Auditorium in Parliament, marking his first public appearance since his viral Instagram post. While he discussed the film—which he screened with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other officials—he avoided addressing questions about his retirement announcement.

Vikrant takes a break

On Instagram, Vikrant had previously shared his thoughts about needing a break after 2025, expressing gratitude for his fans' support over the years. 

Currently, Vikrant is working on two projects but indicated that 2025 would be when he would take a step back. His initial post sent shockwaves through the industry and among fans, many of whom were surprised by his decision.
