Following the release of director Pa Ranjith’s Thangaalan in 2024, Tamil actor ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram returns in director SU Arun Kumar’s Veera Dheera Sooran. Scheduled to premiere on March 27, the film's audio launch and trailer unveiling took place in Chennai on Thursday. At the event, SJ Suryah, who has transitioned from directing to acting and portrays the film's antagonist, expressed his enthusiasm to the audience, noting that this marks his first collaboration with Vikram.

Veera Dheera Sooran exemplifies the distinctive style of SU Arun Kumar. As I mentioned, he is an avid admirer of Martin Scorsese. This film resembles a Hollywood production, yet it is crafted in Tamil, reflecting local cultural nuances. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience working on this project,” remarked the Game Changer actor. “Arun Kumar transformed my approach to acting. After each take, he would sit beside me and suggest, ‘this was good, but let’s try it differently.’ Audiences will witness a fresh and unique SJ Suryah in this film. One can either play the role of a star or that of an antagonist – I embody both the antagonist and protagonist, but I always consider myself a nayagan (actor).”

Veera Dheera Sooran features a diverse cast comprising Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dushara Vijayan, Siddique, Prudhvi Raj, Ramesh Indhira, and Pavel Navageethan, among others. The musical score is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, while Theni Eswar serves as the director of photography, and the editing is managed by Prasanna GK. This film, starring Vikram, is produced by Riya Shibu, the daughter of producer Shibu Thameens, under the HR Pictures banner.

Veera Dheera Sooran is an action thriller being produced in two instalments. The second part is scheduled for release on March 27, while production for the prequel has yet to commence.
