Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt's Raaz featured Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea in the lead roles. Bipasha and Dino's on-screen chemistry was much talked about when the film was theatrically released. The actress dated Dino for nearly six years before they parted ways. Their relationship hit rock bottom during the shoot of Raaz. In a recent interview with News18, director Vikram recalled how their breakup impacted the mood of his film's shoot.

Vikram Bhatt on Bipasha, Dino's break-up

Vikram Bhatt went down memory lane and recalled the 'tragicom' situation from his film Raaz' set. The incident happened when Bipasha and Dino were shooting for their wedding song in the movie. "There’s this line in the song—Apni shaadi ke din ab nahi door hai—and it was during this scene that they were both fighting. I remember Bipasha crying and Dino unhappy," he told the publication.

He further recalled requesting that they not fight as they were shooting a wedding song for the movie. "And then we had lunch together. But yes, their relationship was falling apart. I’m not the kind of person who goes into the personal lives of his actors. So, I don’t know what transpired. Soon after Raaz, it completely fell apart," added Bhatt.

When Dino recommended Bipasha for Raaz

In the same conversation, Vikram revealed Lisa Ray was the first choice to play Sanjana Dhanraj in Raaz. The actress even shot one schedule of the film with Dino but she had to back out due to personal issues. It was later that Dino recommended his then-girlfriend Bipasha for the horror flick.

"At that time, Bipasha and Dino were dating. He said to me, ‘Why don’t you meet Bipasha? She might be good for the film'," recalled Bhatt. He later spoke to a senior colleague about Bipasha. On learning that she is a good actress, Vikram narrated Raaz's script and she came on board for the film.

Cut to now, Bipasha is happily married to actor Karan Singh Grover and they have a daughter named Devi.
