Vikram Bhatt, the esteemed filmmaker, attended the 12th edition of the world's largest travelling film festival, the Jaran Film Festival, on Friday. At the event, he offered valuable guidance to emerging directors and provided insights into his forthcoming projects, notably his much-anticipated film, Tumko Meri Kasam. Bhatt also discussed the evolving dynamics of the film industry and the increasing impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Regarding the future of filmmaking and the emergence of AI, Bhatt underscored the necessity for filmmakers to remain informed about technological developments. He cautioned, “Read about AI… understand what’s happening in the world today and what’s going to happen. The scenario is changing every day… In the next three to four years, we don’t know what will happen… AI is going to take over. It’s very important to learn this today… everything else can be learned later. As for writing, I don’t know if AI will be able to replace it… perhaps AI won’t be able to do the writing because AI works based on data it’s been fed, and as it progresses, it begins to understand data and starts to think. This is artificial intelligence. It’s crucial to know how we can use AI to improve our work.”

In his remarks about the talented actress Adah Sharma, Bhatt commended her for preserving the innocence she exhibited in the 2008 blockbuster film 1920. He remarked, “The innocence that Adah had in 1920 is still there… it’s a good thing… in the film industry, this innocence hasn’t been blended into the colours yet… Adah has maintained her unique colour, and it’s a very strong one that doesn’t fade away.”

Vikram Bhatt recently provided insights into his forthcoming project, Tumko Meri Kasam, which is characterized as a profound family drama. He remarked, “This film holds significant importance for me. I have transitioned away from producing horror films to concentrating on a dramatic narrative. The inspiration for this film comes from Ajay Muradia, a pioneer in the field of IVF in India. It encompasses elements of family dynamics, romance, and suspense, making it a deeply engaging drama. If you appreciate a compelling story, this film is a must-see.” Tumko Meri Kasam, featuring Anupam Kher, Ishwak Singh, Adah Sharma, and Esha Deol, is scheduled for release in theatres on March 21, 2025.
