Bollywood star Salman Khan filmed scenes for his latest movie, Sikandar, even while dealing with a rib injury. In a chat with Bollywood Bubble, his co-star Vikaas Verma commended Salman for his incredible energy during this tough time and shared how he kept hitting the gym and rode his bike to the set.

Vikaas Verma discusses Salman Khan filming for Sikandar even with a rib injury

Vikaas shared that he could sense Salman’s discomfort whenever he noticed him trying to cope with his rib injury. He mentioned, “I had picked up on this early – he was dealing with a rib injury. I saw him constantly adjusting himself on set, and it made me feel his pain, thinking he must be hurting somewhere. He also had a shoulder issue. So, right in front of us, he was either getting his shoulder massaged or doing it himself. Sajan had suggested he keep it up.”

Vikaas mentioned that Salman would ride a bicycle to the set

He remembered how Salman would ride his bike to the set and said, “Despite everything, he would still show up, hit the gym, or pedal around for an hour in a rough area. He’d bike to the set, bike back, work out, and then be on his feet all day. I don’t want to bring up his age because he doesn’t feel that old to me. Honestly, I think he’s only about 5 to 10 years older than I am. The energy he has is incredible; I can’t even jump up on one foot like he does. He can still pull it off. So, in my eyes, he feels much younger and way more energetic than I am. Seriously, after we get injured, we just sit around, put on a cast, and say, ‘Mom, I’m not going outside.’ But this guy is working every single day — I have so much respect for him.”
