The makers of The Greatest of All Time- GOAT dropped the song Spark from the film on social media on Saturday. However, audiences have not been so impressed with the song, with many trolling the song and the makers, especially given The GOAT marks the last leg of Vijay’s acting career. What adds to this, is how Spark is picturised with Vijay’s de-aging avatar, which has drawn the ire of many on social media.

Vijay’s de-aging on The GOAT draws ire

Vijay is awaiting the release of The GOAT, the upcoming Tamil film directed by Venkat Prabhu. The makers had recently released Spark song from the film, which is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. While the song itself did not spark any positive reception among the fans, it featured a de-aged Vijay, who was made to look young as he shook a leg with actor Meenakshi Chowdhary.

While the makers had used cutting edge technology used in abroad and spent a chunk to make Vijay appear younger, the visuals do not seem to have impressed his fans. The GOAT is scheduled to release on September 5 in theatres. The film stars Sneha, Prashanth, Laila, Prabhudheva, Meenakshmi Chowdhary, Premgi, and others. Bankrolled by AGS Production, The GOAT is Vijay’s 68thouting as lead actor. Reports suggest that actors Sivakarthikeyan and Trisha might appear in guest roles. However, an official confirmation is not in place yet.

It is touted to be a sci-fi thriller with Vijay appearing in both young and old version as father and son. The film marks the first time Venkat Prabhu is working with Vijay. It is to be noted that GOAT will be Vijay's first release after he announced his political entry and floated his own party. While the actor hinted at taking up a full-time political journey, GOAT is expected to bring scores of the actor's fans to theatres.
