A screening of "Chhaava," the latest film featuring actor Vicky Kaushal, is expected to occur in Parliament. According to News18, this event is scheduled to take place in the Balayogi Auditorium within the Parliament Library building on Thursday, March 27.

Chhaava screening to take place in Parliament?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with union ministers and Members of Parliament, is expected to be present at the special screening. Additionally, the complete cast and crew of the film, including Vicky, are anticipated to attend the event.

In the film, Vicky plays the character of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who was the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire.

PM Modi had praised Chhaava

The report follows closely on the heels of Prime Minister Modi's commendation of the historical action drama film. During the opening ceremony of the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan (ABMSS) in February, PM Modi remarked that Maharashtra and Mumbai have elevated both Marathi films and Hindi cinema to new levels. He stated, "Aur in dino toh, Chhaava ki dhoom machi hui hai (Chhaava is making headlines everywhere right now)."

How Vicky expressed his gratitude

In response, Vicky posted a video of Prime Minister Modi from the event on Instagram, expressing, "I am honored beyond words! My gratitude to Hon. PM Narendra Modi ji. #Chhaava." Rashmika Mandanna, who portrays Yesubai in the film, shared on her Instagram Stories, "Thank you very much, @narendramodi sir; it is genuinely an honor."

About Chhaava

Chhaava, a production of Maddock Films, features a cast that includes Akshaye Khanna, Diana Penty, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Ashutosh Rana. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film tells the story of Sambhaji Maharaj and his bravery in protecting his faith and homeland. This historical drama was released in theaters on February 14 of this year and has reportedly grossed over ₹700 crore, according to Sacnilk.com.

Recently, an FIR was filed regarding the piracy of Chhaava. The Mumbai Police reported that the complainant identified '1,818 internet links' through which the film was illegally distributed, as stated by the news agency ANI.
