Taking the internet by storm soon after its release, the peppy song has been loved by audiences from various parts of the world. Numerous TikTokers are seen dancing and imitating the dance steps of Kaushal. Within a month, ‘Tauba Tauba' has earned 180 million views on YouTube! Now, Vicky Kaushal, who played Sam Manekshaw in the biopic, Sam Bahadur, said that the late Army officer’s daughter texted him after watching the ‘Tauba Tauba' song.

Recently in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the Uri actor recalled Sam Manekshaw's daughter's reaction to ‘Tauba Tauba'. The actor revealed that initially the late Army officer’s daughter was surprised and questioned him “who is this guy!”. Later she explained, “Five months ago, you made me believe you’re my father; you can’t be doing this now.”
While talking about the comment made by Manekshaw's daughter, Vicky Kaushal shared that it is “the biggest compliment” he has ever received. However, the Govinda Naam Mera actor also talked about his immense dedication for the Sam Bahadur film.

The 36-year-old actor, who is widely celebrated for his realistic portrayal in films like Masaan (2015), Raazi (2018), Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019), Sardar Udham (2021), once again impressed the audience with Sam Bahadur last year.
Sam Bahadur is a biographical war drama, inspired by the life of Sam Manekshaw, who was the chief of the army staff in 1971, and the first officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal.
Kaushal shared that he has heard numerous stories from Sam Manekshaw's family, about his achievements, his dedication towards his career, and about their lives in Punjab during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. She shared that the chilling reality of the past helped him a lot during the shooting.

After the success of Bad Newz, which earned over Rs. 112 crore worldwide, Vicky Kaushal is gearing up for Chhava with Rashmika Mandanna. This is the second time he will be collaborating with director Laxman Utekar, after Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (2023).
Vicky has also signed Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War, where he will collaborate with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt for the first time.
