Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor have been making headlines since their recent film 'Stree 2' was released. The film is unstoppable at the box office and is breaking multiple records. The film is a sequel to the already successful film 'Stree'. But did you know Rajkummar's character in the successful franchise was initially offered to Vicky Kaushal? Vicky Kaushal REJECTED Stree

During his appearance on Vogue BFFs, Vicky was asked to select a film that he regretted turning down and then it became successful. The Bad Newzz actor then revealed that he turned down Stree as he was busy doing Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyaan at that time. "Stree, that was because I was doing Manmarziyaan," said Vicky. 

For the uninitiated, Vicky received a lot of love and praise for his role in Manmarziyaan, however, the film was not a box-office success. On the other hand, Rajkummar Rao's Stree became a box office success and Rao got his breakthrough with the horror-comedy.

The sequel to Stree, Stree 2 is currently on its way to surpass the Rs. 400 crore mark at the box office. In an interview with News18, Rajkummar Rao talked about the film's success and said that the team was sure that the film would get all the love from the audiences because of the love that the first film in the franchise received. He then added, "There's a big fan-following for Stree, including me. I am a huge fan of Stree myself. But these numbers are way above our expectations. We are glad and super elated. There's a lot of gratitude that this is happening with a film like Stree, because it is content-driven film.”

Stree 2 stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurrana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee in important roles. The film is directed by Amar Kaushik and is backed by Dinesh Vijan.

Vicky was recently seen in Bad Newzz with Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk, the actor will be next seen as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the upcoming film 'Chhaava'. The film is directed by Laxman Utekar and also features Rashmika Mandanna. The movie is scheduled to release on December 6.
