Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal attended the Mahakumbh 2025 on Thursday, where he took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam, the meeting point of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers, located in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Vicky conveyed his appreciation for the chance to visit this revered location, stating, "I am feeling good. I was waiting to visit Mahakumbh. I am fortunate as I got the opportunity to come here."

His visit occurs just prior to the release of his forthcoming film, 'Chhaava', which is a historical epic depicting the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of the Maratha leader Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The film, helmed by Laxman Utekar and featuring Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna in the principal roles, is set to premiere on February 14, 2025.

In related news, officials from the Uttar Pradesh government have reported that over 1.47 million devotees participated in a holy dip at the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the revered Saraswati on Thursday.

Among these participants, 500,000 are Kalpavasis, while 979,000 are pilgrims engaged in the ongoing Mahakumbh, which continues to draw devotees from around the world, making it one of the largest religious gatherings globally.

As of February 12, the cumulative number of devotees who have immersed themselves in the Triveni waters has surpassed 482.9 million, representing a remarkable achievement in this grand event.

Mahakumbh 2025, which began on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), stands as the largest spiritual and cultural assembly in the world, attracting participants from various countries. This significant event will run until Mahashivratri on February 26.
