Vicky Kaushal's film Chhaava is off to an amazing start at the box office! This historical biopic drama hit theaters on February 14 and has already surpassed ₹200 crore in India. On Friday, Vicky shared a cute video on his Instagram showing his ‘nazar utraai’ ceremony at home, which is a traditional Indian way to protect against the evil eye.

Vicky Kaushal's charm is undeniable

In the video, Asha Tai, who has been helping out at his place for a long time, was spotted performing a ritual while Vicky waited just outside the apartment door. He had a smile on his face as she instructed him to turn around to finish the ritual. Once she wrapped it up, Vicky put his hands together and asked if he could step inside.

He captioned it: “Asha Tai has watched me grow, both taller and in life. Just yesterday, she saw #Chhaava and said, ‘Stand there, let me do the nazar utraai for you.’ That’s her special way of showing love and keeping me grounded. I’m so grateful to have her in my life!”

Chhaava takes the box office by storm

On Friday, the team behind Chhaava shared some exciting news: the film has officially crossed the ₹300 crore mark globally, making it the first Hindi film of 2025 to achieve this milestone. Plus, it's already been given tax-free status in Goa and Madhya Pradesh.

In the movie, Vicky takes on the role of the Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. It's based on the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant and features Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale, Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, Divya Dutta as Soyarabai, Vineet Kumar Singh as Kavi Kalash, and Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite.
