Actor Veer Pahariya just turned 30 on Saturday and took a moment to reflect on his teenage obsession with Bollywood films. He hopped on Instagram to share a memory from when he was 13, getting ready to dance to Dard-E-Disco from Shah Rukh Khan's 2007 flick Om Shanti Om. Not only did he master the dance moves, but he also went on a diet to achieve a six-pack!
Veer Pahariya posts a throwback video of himself dancing to an SRK song
He mentioned that his family was completely unaware of his time there since he never borrowed any cash from them. For the fire scene in the track, they lit up the room and used deodorant to make it even more dramatic. Along with his message, Veer posted an edited throwback video of himself dancing to the song, which also included a clip of Shah Rukh dancing to Dard-E-Disco.
Veer started his dieting journey when he was just 13 years old
Veer shared the video with the caption, “On my birthday, which happens to align with all the love Sky Force is receiving, I wanted to post this throwback video from when I was 13 and totally obsessed with Bollywood films.”
He mentioned that he had checked out all the videos about creating #dardedisco. He learned the dance moves, went on a diet to get a six-pack, set up the lights, fans, leaves, props, costumes, and dancers, and filmed it all in one go on a Sony handycam since he didn’t know how to edit. His family was completely in the dark about it because he didn’t spend any money, and everything was done with a bit of creativity and resourcefulness.
Veer claims that SRK turned his life around
For the final take with the fire scene, we lit up the room and added some deodorant for extra effect. We only had one chance to nail it. Talk about next-level dedication! Huge thanks to @iamsrk and @farahkhankunder for transforming my life. And of course, a big shoutout to God for helping my dreams come true!
