Varun Dhawan's niece, Anjini Dhawan made her acting debut in September 2024 with Sanjay Tripathy's film, Binny and Family. Now, reports suggest that she will be a part of Salman Khan's Sikandar. Amid this, in a new interview, Anjini reacted to carrying forward the legacy of Varun and David Dhawan.

'I love the family I come from,' says Anjini Dhawan

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Anjini Dhawan was about carrying the family legacy ahead. She said, “I didn’t let myself feel any pressure because I feel everyone’s journey is different. Especially as actors, two people cannot have the same career path. While I love the family I come from and I am very proud of them, I am just looking forward to my own journey.”

Meanwhile, Binny and Family's plot gives a glimpse of Anjini Dhawan's character and her equation with her grandparents. The film also focuses on the generation gap and promises to deliver a heartwarming story. The film is written and directed by Sanjay Tripathy. It is backed by Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, Mahaveer Jain Films, and Waveband Productions, along with Shashank Khaitan and Mrighdeep Lamba.

Anjini Dhawan to be part in Sikandar?

As per a Mid-Day report, Anijin has been cast in Salman Khan's Sikandar. The movie, which went on floors in June this year, will star the actress in a pivotal role. "She has been cast in a key role. The character needed a fresh face, and Anjini fit the bill. She will join the shoot soon," a source told the tabloid.

"It is not known yet what Anjini’s character’s relationship will be with Salman’s protagonist," the source further added.

Meanwhile, in an exclusive interview with OTTplay, Anjini Dhawan revealed if Varun helped her make a career or shape up her character.

Responding to it, the young actress said, "No! Not at all. Not with my character, he definitely helped me a lot when it comes to giving me advice and guiding me. Like if I have questions like ‘this or that’, that advice, is definitely always there but the character ‘no’."
