Actor Varun Dhawan shared his excitement on social media about the India vs Pakistan cricket match. He posted an adorable photo of himself enjoying the game at home with his daughter Lara, reminiscing about the times he used to watch the matches with his dad, filmmaker David Dhawan.

Varun Dhawan's little girl is rooting for Team India

Varun shared a cute pic of Lara perched on his lap, both glued to the match on the screen while their pet hangs around the couch, hoping for some love. The actor seems totally absorbed in the game as well. He captioned it, “#indiavspakistan I used to watch with my dad, and now she’s rooting for #teamindia alongside me.”

Fans found it super cute that Varun was keeping up the family tradition, with one saying, “THIS IS SO ADORABLE.” Another chimed in, “What a lovely moment.” One fan mentioned, “Awiwiweee is teaching her little one.” An enthusiastic follower added, “Lara & Joey rooting for India,” referring to his pet as well. “Spending Sunday with family is all you really need,” shared another person.

For those who might not know, Varun tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Natasha Dalal in 2021. Their daughter, Lara, arrived in June 2024. Varun revealed her name in October during an episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati while chatting with Amitabh Bachchan. He shared, “We named her Lara. I’m still figuring out how to bond with her.”

Latest projects

In 2024, Varun made brief appearances in Stree 2 and Munjya, reprising his werewolf role as Bhediya. He also took the lead in the Hindi remake of Atlee’s Theri, called Baby John, but unfortunately, it didn’t really resonate with audiences. Coming up, he’s set to appear in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, both of which are dropping this year, along with Border 2, which is scheduled for a 2026 release.
