Following their performance, Varun was observed giving Sidharth a side-hug. The video evoked a sense of nostalgia among fans, reminding them of the days from their film, Student of the Year.

For those unfamiliar, Sidharth and Varun launched their acting careers together in Karan Johar’s Student of the Year (2012). The film depicted them as close friends who eventually had a falling out over a girl named Shanaya, portrayed by Alia Bhatt. Karan was also in attendance at the Maddock event, where he took a moment to capture a photo with both actors, captioning it, "Favourites forever."

Varun Next, the audience will see Karan's romantic comedy, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, featuring Janhvi Kapoor, Maniesh Paul, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf in prominent roles. The film is slated for theatrical release on September 12.

Meanwhile, Sidharth is in the midst of filming Param Sundari, which also stars Janhvi in the leading role. This film, produced by Dinesh Vijan, tells a cross-cultural love story set against the picturesque backdrop of Kerala's backwaters. Directed by Tushar Jalota, Param Sundari is expected to hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
