Ranveer Allahbadia is getting a lot of heat on social media for his controversial comments about Samay Raina's India's Got Latent. In the midst of all this, an old clip has popped up of Varun Dhawan on Ranveer's podcast, where he jokingly predicts that he could get cancelled if he ever went on Samay's show.
Varun shares his experience of being involved with India's Got Latent
In the video, Varun talks about his experience being invited to Samay's show. He mentioned that he was intrigued by the opportunity but felt a bit unsure because of the possible backlash that could come with the show's format. He said, “I bumped into him recently, and he asked me to join the show. Honestly, I think I’d do really well on it. Sure, I could get cancelled, but I believe the show might suffer because sometimes, the more attention you draw in that way, especially with that kind of humor. But he’s not worried about any of that. He really isn’t.”
Ranveer Allahbadia suggested that Varun should take on the challenge. Varun responded, “I’d jump at the chance. I’m not concerned. I think I’ll have to wait until I’m not promoting a movie, so no one else gets caught up in the chaos. There’s definitely going to be some chaos.”
Fans had their say about the video. One comment noted, "Varun made a really wise choice." Another said, "Varun showed a lot of insight with that statement." A different fan added, "He’s really clever. He understands how his involvement in the show will be viewed."
Ranveer Allahbadia's drama
Ranveer teamed up with social media star Apoorva Makhija, YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani, and comedian Jaspreet Singh on Samay Raina's show, India's Got Latent. While on the show, Ranveer posed a shocking question to a contestant: "Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day or join them to finish it once and for all?" This comment quickly went viral, leading to backlash from politicians, public figures, and social media users alike. In response, Ranveer apologized publicly, admitting that his comments were "not appropriate" and "not even funny." Despite this, a complaint has now been lodged against Ranveer, Apoorva, Samay, and the show's organizers.
Varun Dhawan's next project is on the horizon
Varun was recently featured in Atlee's movie, Baby John, which is a remake of Vijay's Theri. Unfortunately, the film didn't do too well at the box office. His next project is Shashank Khaitan's Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Produced by Karan Johar, the film includes a talented cast with Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Akshay Oberoi, and Maniesh Paul. This romantic drama is set to hit theaters on April 18.
