Varshangalkku Shesham, the period drama directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan earned super hit status at the box office. However, Pranav Mohanlal and Vineeth Sreenivasan’s film earned mixed reviews from the audiences after its OTT release on Sony LIV. The movie, especially leading man Pranav was heavily trolled by netizens for his performance in the film, and get-up in the second half. In a recent interview with a leading Malayalam media, Dhyan Sreenivasan opened up about the trolls and admitted that he was not convinced by the star kid’s get-up in the film.

In a recent interview with a leading Malayalam media, Dhyan Sreenivasan reacted to the trolls on Varshangalkku Shesham and Pranav Mohanlal. Interestingly, the actor-director admitted that even he was not convinced about Pranav’s get-up in the second half of the film. According to Dhyan, many of the cast and crew members, including himself and Aju Varghese, were not convinced about the Hridayam actor’s second get-up in the film. However, director Vineeth Sreenivasan was satisfied with Pranav’s look and decided to proceed.


Dhyan Sreenivasan further added that it is the director who makes the final decision when it comes to the star cast and their appearances. So, Aju Varghese and he agreed with director Vineeth’s decision to proceed with the elderly get-up of Pranav Mohanlal, even though they were not convinced about the same. Well, the young actor was heavily trolled by the netizens for his long silver wig, and unconvincing performance as an aged man in Varshangalkku Shesham, after its OTT release.

During the interview, Dhyan Sreenivasan also reacted to the trolls on Varshangalkku Shesham and admitted that it is not a flawless film. According to the actor-director, the Vineeth Sreenivasan directorial is an emotional drama with has slow-paced narrative. Such films are challenging to watch for OTT viewers, and they just don’t fit into the format well. Dhyan also admitted that Varshangalkku Shesham had its own ‘lag’ moments, even though it performed well at the theatres.
