Urvashi Rautela has been all over the place promoting her movie Daaku Maharaaj since it came out. She’s even caught some flak for a few things she said in interviews. Recently, a video surfaced showing her co-stars ignoring her at a pre-release event, and fans are really feeling for her.

Reddit users are buzzing about how Urvashi got overlooked by the Daaku Maharaaj crew

A Reddit user posted a clip from the pre-release event of Daaku Maharaaj. In the video, Nandamuri Balakrishna is seen taking a photo with Shraddha Srinath and Pragya Jaiswal while seemingly overlooking Urvashi. Later, during his speech, Urvashi tried to hand him a tissue box, but he brushed her off again and kept talking.

Many Reddit users were not happy with how the team treated Urvashi, with some showing sympathy for her situation. One comment said, "This is seriously disrespectful. No matter your feelings about her, she’s your co-star and deserves some recognition and respect. What’s up with this behavior? What kind of pedestal is the Daaku Maharaaj cast on?" Another user remarked, "What’s their deal? Show some basic decency and respect for your colleague. I guess a lot of the attention this terrible movie got was thanks to her antics."

One fan shared their concern, saying, "I really feel bad for her." Another Redditor mentioned, "I felt sorry for Urvashi. She looked so sweet and innocent, yet they just ignored her for no reason." Someone else added, "Exactly. I feel for her. When Telugu folks are in a group, they often talk among themselves in their language. I’ve experienced something similar myself."

Not long ago, Netflix revealed that Daaku Maharaaj would be available for streaming, and they dropped a poster for the film. But what really stood out to fans was that Urvashi wasn’t in it at all. Later on, Netflix shared another promo image where Urvashi appeared twice, which sparked a wave of jokes about her on social media.

Urvashi faced criticism for her actions

Even though Urvashi and Balakrishna got a lot of heat for their dance moves in the song Dabidi Dibidi, she kept pushing the film with a lot of energy. She also caught flak for not taking the attack on Saif Ali Khan seriously, choosing instead to talk about how well the film was doing at the box office during one of her promotional events. On top of that, people criticized her for showing off the Rolex watch her parents gifted her after the success of Daaku Maharaaj. The film raked in ₹90 crore in India and ₹125.8 crore globally, as reported by Sacnilk.
