Urvashi Rautela recently got some heat for showing off her pricey watch while talking about Saif Ali Khan's health after he was allegedly stabbed. People weren't too happy with her remarks, and some even called her "beauty without brains." Now, she’s opened up about the backlash in an interview with Instant Bollywood.

Urvashi responds to the trolling

Urvashi had a pretty interesting take on being labeled as "beauty without brains." She said, “You know, even our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji, and my all-time favorite stars, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, get that kind of treatment from people. So, what can you really do about it?”

Reddit users weren't too happy about her comment either. One user said, “There’s no way she’s putting herself on the same level as legends like Modi ji, SRK, and Salman.” Another chimed in, “She’s totally out of touch, but you’ve got to admit she’s iconic.” A third person commented, “Seriously, how out of it can someone get?”

What made people troll Urvashi?

Urvashi got some backlash for showing off her watch while talking about the attack on Saif Ali Khan's house in Bandra. In a chat with ANI, she mentioned, “It’s really sad. Daaku Maharaaj has now crossed ₹105 crore at the box office, and my mom gave me this diamond-studded Rolex, while my dad gifted me this mini watch on my finger. But honestly, we don’t feel safe wearing these things out in the open because of the risk of being attacked. What happened was truly unfortunate.”

The next day, she posted an apology on Instagram but ended up deleting it. In a Filmfare interview, she shared that the incident took place at 4 a.m., and her interviews were set for 8 a.m., so she was completely unaware of what had happened. She remembered waking up to find out someone had been hurt but didn’t know how serious it was. Coming from the film industry, she expressed her genuine concern and support but mentioned that even now, after the person has recovered, she still doesn’t have all the details about the incident. She also pointed out that the interviews were meant to celebrate the success of her Telugu film, Daaku Maharaaj, which is why she kept bringing it up during her talks.
