Urvashi Rautela made headlines in 2024 when a leaked bathroom scene from the film Ghuspaithiya emerged on social media. In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, the actress asserted that the video was intentionally leaked, stating that the producers had obtained her consent before its release.

Urvashi recalls how Ghuspaithiya makers took her permission

Urvashi Rautela characterized Ghuspaithiya as an exceptional film and disclosed the rationale behind the filmmakers' choice to release her bathroom scene from the production. She mentioned that the filmmakers approached her in distress, articulating their concerns regarding various deficiencies in the film. Additionally, she asserted that the creators were close to the point of having to sell their property and were in urgent need of a remedy.

Urvashi Rautela disclosed that the producers asked her to leak a particular scene. She stated, “They were facing some financial difficulties and were entangled in loans. They had to relinquish their property and were on the brink of losing everything. Consequently, they approached my business manager and discussed the situation.”

“They then sought our consent regarding a scene from the film, clarifying that it was not something extraordinary we had created. It was simply a scene from the movie. The producers made a request to see if we could release it ahead of schedule. Additionally, it served as a means of raising awareness, particularly for young women to exercise caution.”

Ghuspaithiya is a crime drama film that has been both written and directed by Susi Ganesan. This film serves as a Hindi adaptation of the Tamil movie Thiruttu Payale 2 (2017) and features a cast that includes Urvashi Rautela, Vineet Kumar Singh, Govind Namdev, and Akshay Oberoi. It premiered in theaters on August 9, 2024.

Urvashi Rautela was recently featured in Daaku Maharaaj, which also includes performances by Nandamuri Balakrishna and Bobby Deol.
