When questioned about the challenges of being married to a superstar, Upasana acknowledged that no marriage is without its difficulties and that every relationship experiences fluctuations—hers is no exception. Nevertheless, she emphasized the mutual respect they share. Reflecting on the success of their marriage, she stated, “We entered our union as equals; we recognized this early on. He is an exceptionally secure individual, and it is only a secure man who will encourage a woman to strive for more. That is precisely what he does for me. Our ability to support each other through life's highs and lows is our unique strength. Additionally, marriage is not without its challenges. We are fortunate to have our entire family around us, providing a robust support system from both sides.”

She stated, “It is crucial for us to manage our schedules to ensure we have sufficient time together. My mother always advised us to have a date night once a week, and we strive to adhere to that principle. Our date nights take place at home, free from distractions such as television or phones. This practice has become a fundamental aspect of our relationship. When issues arise between us, we make it a point to address them directly. We recognize that communication is an ongoing process that we will continue to develop throughout our lives. While these elements are often taken for granted in a marriage, they require daily effort and commitment. Giving up is not an option; it is as essential as breathing.”

Their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship, leading to their engagement in December 2011. They celebrated their marriage in a glamorous ceremony in June 2012 in Hyderabad and welcomed their daughter, Klin Kaara, in June 2023, marking 11 years of their union.
