Uorfi Javed exited the program hosted by comedian Samay Raina, titled India's Got Latent. In a recent update on her Instagram Stories, Uorfi elaborated on the incident, revealing that two contestants verbally abused and demeaned her in front of the audience, which led to her decision to leave. She further mentioned that the show's team provided her with support and emphasized that she holds no grievances against Samay Raina.

‘I’m not ok with anyone abusing me’

In a series of Instagram Stories, Uorfi addressed the controversy surrounding the show and elaborated on her decision to exit midway. She stated, “I believe I missed the memo; it seems that nowadays, some individuals consider it acceptable to verbally abuse others or to shame them for their opinions. I must express that I do not tolerate any form of abuse directed at me, nor do I accept being shamed for my personal experiences, which others have inaccurately assumed to be extensive. All of this for what? Merely two minutes of notoriety? The individual who insulted me was not joking; he became genuinely angry when I questioned his pretence of being handicapped! He openly berated me on stage in front of a large audience.”

‘I was disgusted’

She elaborated, stating, "The next individual was merely attempting to appear impressive, engaging in body shaming by comparing me to Mia Khalifa and expressing his discontent regarding my number of sexual partners. I found it repulsive. I should have addressed these men, but I refrained because, in that environment, everyone seemed to accept such behaviour as acceptable. It is not acceptable. It is not acceptable at all."

In a subsequent post, she mentioned, "I do not hold @maisamayhoon responsible in any way! He is a friend; my comments are directed at the contestants! The entire team came forward to offer me support. Since then, Samay has treated me with nothing but kindness."

Uorfi has made it clear that she is not interested in engaging in paid public relations regarding these issues. She stated, “For those who believe I have participated in paid PR, I have never communicated with any media outlet. This occurred in front of a live audience, and I have not compensated anyone to write anything in my favour or against anyone else!”

Uorfi has previously appeared on the show for one episode. Other guests featured in the program include Poonam Pandey, Bharti Singh, and Avika Gor, among others.

Earlier this year, Uorfi launched her show titled Follow Kar Lo Yaar on Prime Video.
