Unstoppable with NBK is one of the most-watched shows on Aha and has been trending at the top of the list for the last few days. Things have become quite special as none other than Allu Arjun graced the show, which is hosted by Balakrishna, the superstar of Telugu cinema.
Allu Arjun opens up about winning the National Award for Pushpa
Allu Arjun opened up about various topics on the show, including the National Award he won for Pushpa. When Balakrishna congratulated Allu Arjun on winning the award, Bunny surprised the host by revealing that he worked tirelessly to achieve this honor.
"When I heard the script of Pushpa, I was sure it would be a game-changer in my career, as it had so much scope for me to perform. I haven’t won many Best Actor awards in my career, so I googled the National Awards. To my shock, not one Telugu actor had ever won the Best Actor award. This realization hurt me a bit and fueled my passion to win it," said Allu Arjun.
The Pushpa 2 star further added that while shooting for Pushpa, only he and his director Sukumar were working intending to win the National Award. "Whenever I performed a key scene, Sukumar would come to me and say, ‘This is not award-worthy.’ So, I would go back and redo it differently. Generally, actors give their best and later receive awards. But the National Award for Pushpa was a properly planned and executed performance," said Allu Arjun.
This statement shocked Balakrishna, who remarked that the story behind the award was inspiring and demonstrated that one could achieve anything with big aspirations. On another note, Pushpa 2 is making headlines as the trailer was recently released and has gone viral.
Allu Arjun looks solid in the promos and is set to deliver another terrific performance in the film, which is slated to release on December 5, 2024. Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil play key roles in the film, which features music by DSP. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.
