Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna are actively promoting their forthcoming film, Chhaava. Accompanying them in their promotional endeavors is the film's director, Laxman Utekar. The lead actors are embarking on a multi-city tour across India to generate excitement for the movie, which is inspired by the life of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Just three days prior to the film's release, Rashmika shared a joyful collection of photos on Instagram, accompanied by a playful caption.

Rashmika-Vicky 'kidnap' Laxman Utekar amid busy schedule

Rashmika Mandanna and Vicky Kaushal managed to persuade director Laxman Utekar to take a brief respite from his demanding schedule for a mini photoshoot. The actress posted a series of cheerful images on her official Instagram account. For those who have yet to view the photos, they can be found below:

In her post, the Chhaava actress remarked, "Laxman sir is so engrossed in editing and all the serious aspects of filmmaking that Vicky and I decided to 'kidnap' him for a mini photoshoot. Following that, we ended up doing our little shoot to inform you all that—‘Chhaava is releasing in 3 days and we are incredibly excitedddd!' (sic)."

Vicky Kaushal discusses his role in Chhaava

In a recent interview with Radio Nasha, Vicky Kaushal characterized his role in Chhaava as the most physically demanding he has undertaken to date. He explained, "It was quite challenging to gain 25 kg of muscle. The process was arduous and took me seven months. Laxman sir was adamant that I must achieve that look, learn horse riding, complete sword training, and master fight choreography before we could commence filming. He insisted, ‘I refuse to compromise. I will not rely on VFX.'"

Produced by Maddock Films, the historical drama featuring Vicky and Rashmika is scheduled for theatrical release on February 14, 2025.
