Umar Riaz, a former contestant of Bigg Boss, has leveled accusations against the producers of Bigg Boss 18, claiming they exhibit favoritism and endorse nepotism. He cited the example of contestant Karanveer Mehra to substantiate his claims.

Umar lashes out

Umar, who is the brother of Asim Riaz, participated in Bigg Boss 15, where he experienced a tumultuous journey, culminating in his eviction following a physical confrontation with another participant. Recently, he took to social media to voice his grievances, posting content that underscores perceived favoritism towards contestants who engaged in violent behavior during the show.

On Instagram, Umar shared Stories regarding an incident in this season where he sustained an injury to his forehead. He emphasized that the producers did not take any action at that moment.

Umar remarked, “Face injury nonsense. I wish I could have displayed my forehead scars during my task. I am certain the channel chose not to show it because I was never their favored child.”

Umar's story.

Umar was alluding to a severe altercation between Karanveer and Rajat Dalal that occurred last week. During this incident, Karanveer's glasses were broken, resulting in an injury beneath his eye. Following this, Vivian Dsena was observed defending Karanveer. Notably, no disciplinary measures were taken against the contestants involved in the violence, which contravenes the established rules.

More from the past

Umar Riaz's critique of the Bigg Boss producers is not a new occurrence. In 2022, after his eviction from the 15th season, Umar expressed his dissatisfaction to the Times of India, feeling he had been unjustly labeled as aggressive. He stated, “I believe I was branded as aggressive from the outset. While I was assertive in tasks, I have never physically assaulted anyone. It was claimed that I had received prior warnings, but I do not recall any such warnings being issued. They also stated that my eviction was determined by audience votes. However, upon exiting the house, I learned that the majority of viewers were expressing their support for me, so how could this eviction be attributed to public opinion?”
