Recently, he was spotted at the success celebration of The Roshans, where paparazzi playfully teased him regarding the incident.

At the request of a paparazzo, he even performed his song "Papa Kehte Hain." As he entered the venue while singing, a paparazzo jokingly remarked, "Sir, ek kiss ho jaaye," referencing the recent incident. Udit, however, appeared to disregard the comment.

Following the video's release, Reddit users took to the platform to share humorous remarks. One user quipped, "It's all fun and games till Udit ji grabs the pap and fulfills his wish." Another added, "This is absolute cinema." A different user expressed, "I almost thought he was going to grab someone on his way out," accompanied by a laughing emoji. The fan had been attempting to take a selfie with the singer when the kiss occurred. In response to the considerable backlash, Udit described the incident as an expression of 'unconditional love for fans.'

He expressed to HT City, "Fans can be incredibly passionate. We are not like that; we consider ourselves to be decent individuals. Some individuals promote this behavior and demonstrate their affection in such manners. Why should we make a fuss about it now? There are numerous people in the crowd, and we have bodyguards with us as well. However, fans perceive this as a unique opportunity to meet us, leading some to reach out for a handshake while others may kiss our hands... this is simply a manifestation of their enthusiasm. Such actions should not be overly emphasized."
