Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's spouse, author Twinkle Khanna, has expressed her fatigue with the repetitive nature of certain inquiries. In her most recent column for The Times of India, Twinkle revealed that she is frequently posed with the same question regarding her experience as a 'star wife.' She noted that she has developed a thoughtful response to address this query, one that reflects her wisdom.

What Twinkle said

In her column, she expressed: “During an interview, I have posed the question, ‘As a star wife, what is your experience?’ Although my initial reaction is to snap at the reporter’s finger, I respond, ‘I am uncertain that a concept such as ‘star wife’ truly exists, unless it parallels the tradition of Manglik women marrying trees due to some Rahu Ketu dosh, resulting in a union with Sirius or, even more absurdly, Halley’s Comet.’

‘I have an oyster-like attitude to irritants’

She further elaborated on how she has learned to address this recurring question over the years. “After two decades of responding to this vexing inquiry, I have developed an oyster-like resilience to irritants and the capacity to produce valuable insights in reply. Additionally, I frequently find myself questioned about — and held accountable for — the disparity in our political perspectives. It seems as though some individuals perceive him not as my husband, but rather as a child who will heed my advice when I say, ‘Beta ji, please walk on the left side of the road, and I will give you a Frooti.’”

Twinkle married Akshay on January 17, 2001, and they have two children: son Aarav and daughter Nitara. In 2022, Twinkle Khanna pursued her Master's degree in Fiction Writing at Goldsmiths, University of London, and she has recently completed her studies.
