Nevertheless, the prominent tight end experienced an unexpected personal challenge several months prior when his residence in the Kansas City suburbs was burglarized. In response to the break-in, Kelce has implemented substantial enhancements to the security of his home located in Leawood, Kansas.

Kelce invests in heavy security post-home burglary incident

In a series of burglaries that also affected his teammate Patrick Mahomes, thieves stole $20,000 in cash and $100,000 in jewellery from Kelce's residence in October 2024. The police managed to recover a stolen watch in Providence, Rhode Island, the following month; however, the incident had a lasting effect on the prominent athletes.

According to a source for The US Sun, Kelce invested $40,000 to enhance the security of his Kansas City home, as he remains "deeply troubled" by the earlier event. The source stated, "Travis felt an urgent need to address this matter promptly. It was quite unsettling to confront." The insider further noted that the house serves as "a sanctuary for him and his family and loved ones. He wishes to avoid experiencing a distressing event like the robbery again."

Kelce has since installed ten cameras at his new residence, along with improved lighting and motion detectors. He reportedly spent $9,000 on a German Shepherd and an Anatolian Shepherd to bolster security. Additionally, he has employed two security guards at a cost of $6,000 per month. The source elaborated, "Travis opted for the most effective measures, investing in alarms, security personnel, and dogs to ensure his safety. His primary concern is to feel secure."

Swift and Kelce on lookout for a home together

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship is intensifying, with the pair becoming increasingly close. As their bond deepens, Swift, who already possesses residences in Nashville, Los Angeles, New York City, and Rhode Island, may be contemplating the acquisition of an additional mansion to enhance her already remarkable real estate collection. This time, she could be considering a property in Kansas City to be nearer to her NFL partner.

A source informed US Weekly, "When they have time, they want to look at real estate," noting that the couple has "discussed the possibility of purchasing a home together."
