Tom Brady has once again made headlines with a cleverly timed enigmatic post. Merely a day following the announcement that Gisele Bündchen has given birth to her first child with her partner Joaquim Valente, the former NFL star took to social media to share a reflective quote concerning love and friendship.

Tom Brady drops 'secret to being loved’ post

The former NFL star posted a thought-provoking quote on Instagram on Thursday.

“I truly believe that the key to being loved is to love,” the post stated. “Moreover, the key to being interesting is to show interest. The way to have others perceive beauty in you is to recognize beauty in others. Lastly, the secret to having a friend is to be a friend.” Brady, 47, further highlighted this sentiment by including three heart emojis and commenting, “Love this.”

Although it may be mere coincidence, the timing has certainly attracted attention—particularly since this is not the first instance where Brady’s social media posts have appeared to coincide with significant events in his ex-wife’s life.

Not the first time

This is not the first occasion on which Brady has conveyed thought-provoking quotes following significant events in Bündchen’s personal life.

In October 2024, when news of the supermodel’s pregnancy emerged, Brady shared a photograph of a sunset alongside The Chicks’ poignant rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide.” The song, which explores themes of transformation and introspection, led many to speculate that he was subtly responding to the announcement.

A week later, he posted another enigmatic message regarding overcoming failures and persevering, stating: “The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena… who strives valiantly; who errs, and comes short again and again.”

Brady and Bündchen were married for 13 years before finalizing their divorce in 2022. They have two children together: Benjamin, aged 15, and Vivian, aged 12. Additionally, the former quarterback has a 17-year-old son, Jack, from his prior relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan.

In the meantime, Bündchen began a relationship with Valente, her longtime jiu-jitsu instructor, in mid-2023, and they welcomed their first child together this year.

How Brady reacted to Gisele’s baby news

Brady was reportedly surprised to learn that Bündchen had welcomed a child with Valente, despite being aware of the seriousness of their relationship. An insider disclosed to Page Six that this development was not something he had anticipated. 

Nevertheless, Brady has allegedly contacted Bündchen to extend his congratulations, indicating that he holds no resentment towards her. 

Following their separation, Brady has had a brief association with supermodel Irina Shayk. However, his romantic life has remained largely understated in comparison to that of Bündchen.
