After several meetings and discussions, the Federation of Cine Technicians and Workers of Eastern India stuck to its decision. It stated that it has the right to non-cooperation if someone acts without informing the Federation. The technicians -- members of the Federation -- claimed that 'None of us went without working'.

Director Rahool Mukherjee's film's shooting was supposed to start on Saturday. Prosenjit Chatterjee and Anirban Bhattacharya came to the floor on time, but no technician came. Reportedly, they did not come since the Federation did not lift the ban on Rahool. In the afternoon, the Federation told the media that it was the question of the livelihood of 26 unions affiliated to the Federation. The daily wage earners, seven to eight thousand technicians, did want to work and hence the news that they did not come to the shooting was not true. The technicians demanded 'We don't want Rahool Mukherjee as the director. Let him be the creative producer. If the shooting happens lawfully, we are ready to participate.

On Friday, the directors' guild released a long statement saying that Rahool could be back as the director. But the decision is now obstructed by the Federation. They said that the letter against Rahool mentioned unethical actions. Directors' Association of Eastern India can be satisfied with the statement of the directors, but the Federation is not satisfied.
