After her appointment got canceled, she didn't reschedule until last year, when she found out she had stage 1 cancer.

My doctor informed me that I had breast cancer, with a small tumor in my left breast being cancerous, while the larger one in my right breast was benign but still needed to be removed,” Knowles shared in her memoir, as reported by Us Weekly. “She mentioned I was at Stage 1A and reassured me that my prognosis was positive. The next step was to consult with an oncologist and a breast surgeon,” the fashion designer continued.
Knowles also expressed, “I sat there in shock, rubbing my neck. My mind immediately went to my father and all those times I took him for chemotherapy, reflecting on how much cancer had taken from him. After everything I’ve been through to reach 70, now I’m facing cancer?”
In a Tuesday interview, Knowles told host Gayle King that she was in “disbelief” since “I’ve always made an effort to take care of myself.” Remembering her feelings before surgery, she admitted, “I was anxious.”
In August 2024, she had a lumpectomy to remove the cancerous tumor. Although she became cancer-free, she faced a severe infection that required a second surgery in September. It was during this time that her eldest daughter prioritized her health.
“She insisted on being on speaker during my consultation with the infectious disease specialist,” Knowles recounted about Beyonce, adding, “The doctor was impressed by her questions; I was touched by her concern.” Thankfully, she is now “cancer-free” and “doing well,” according to a recent interview with People.
Knowles expressed to the outlet that she feels “incredibly blessed that God allowed me to catch it early.” She also hopes her story will “inspire hope in others.” “What worries me now is not making the most of every day I have left in this life,” she concluded.
