Tina Ahuja, the daughter of actor Govinda and his wife Sunita, has left Reddit users surprised with her take on period cramps. In an interview with Hautterfly, Tina mentioned that she’s never experienced any pain and joked that "only girls from Bombay talk about cramps." She also pointed out that women who don’t usually get cramps can start to feel them mentally.

Tina shared her thoughts on period cramps

Tina mentioned that she’s mostly been in Chandigarh and has only heard girls from Bombay talk about cramps. She thinks a big part of the issue is how these groups form to discuss it, and sometimes even those who don’t experience cramps start to feel them mentally. Plus, a lot of women in Punjab and smaller towns aren’t even aware when they hit menopause.

Tina chatted about dieting and how it can help tackle issues

She mentioned, "I guess my body is a bit desi. I've never experienced back pain. Everything's on point with my 28-day cycle. But I notice girls around me constantly discussing... You should eat your ghee, ease up on the dieting; get a good night's sleep, and everything will balance out. If you maintain a healthy diet, you're good. A lot of girls are so influenced by Instagram that they end up stressing over issues that aren't even real."

Sunita backed up her daughter’s point, mentioning that they each have a spoonful of ghee daily. She urged everyone to check with their doctors instead of just following her advice. Sunita reminded viewers not to hold her responsible, later clarifying that “Govinda's wife Sunita recommended adding a spoonful of ghee to the diet, which led to a heart blockage.”

Reddit users respond to Tina's comment

A clip from an interview popped up on Reddit with the caption, "Period pain isn’t real, folks! Just listen to Govinda's wife and daughter." One user chimed in, "I've seen women I care about struggle with this. It might vary for each woman, but to completely dismiss it is just absurd." Another comment said, "It’s true that some people flaunt their ignorance. These two are prime examples."

"Not every woman experiences the same level of pain; it varies from person to person," a Redditor pointed out. "You can’t grow up in a mansion with all that privilege and then go on a podcast saying other people's pain doesn’t matter. As a woman, that really gets under my skin," another user expressed. "I’ve never heard anything so ridiculous in my life. Everyone is unique, and our bodies react differently," read another comment.
