Thug Life, the period action film directed by Mani Ratnam, is one of the most-anticipated upcoming projects in the Tamil film industry. Kamal Haasan is playing the lead role in the film, which stars Silambarasan TR in a pivotal role. As reported earlier, Sudha Kongara, the National Award-winning filmmaker is a part of the directorial team. The Soorarai Pottru director recently took to her official Instagram handle and dropped a couple of location pictures with Mani Ratnam, and the Thug Life directorial team.

In the recent pictures shared by Sudha Kongara on her official Instagram handle, Mani Ratnam is seen posing with the director and his other directorial assistants, including director Bejoy Nambiar, Priya V, Milind Rau, and Shaad Ali, on the sets of the upcoming Kamal Haasan starrer. “When a student is down n out you go to see the master and life is good #livenlovecinema #ManiSirADforLife,” wrote the Irudhi Suttru director, who confirmed she is indeed a part of the Thug Life directorial team, with her recent post.

Thug Life shoot update

As reported earlier, the new schedule of Thug Life started rolling in Chennai, recently. Along with leading man Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan and Ashok Selvan, who play key roles in the film, are also filming their portions in the ongoing schedule. After wrapping up the Chennai shoot, director Mani Ratnam and his team might soon travel to Russia, to film the long-pending foreign schedule of the film. Later, the filming of the Kamal Haasan starrer might get wrapped up with a brief schedule in Goa.

Trisha Krishnan, the popular actress is appearing as the female lead in Thug Life, which features a stellar star cast including Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Abhirami, Nasser, Delhi Ganesh Vaiyapuri, and others in pivotal roles. AR Rahman is composing the songs and original score for the project. Ravi K Chandran is the director of photography. A Sreekar Prasad handles the editing.
