Anindya Sengupta – one of the most promising actors in the Bengali industry – will be back in Sudipta Laha’s debut feature film, Karon Greece Amader Desh Na Athoba Blue-Black O Transparent White. After Oti Uttam, Anindya will once again share the screen with Gourab Chatterjee. Besides, the film also features Tnusree Chakraborty, Kamaleswar Mukherjee, Partha Sarathi, Rajeswari Paul, and Kaushik Banerjee. In a chat, the actor talked about the film and his co-actors.

Talking about the film, Anindya said, “First, I am a professional actor and in the Bengali entertainment industry, you don’t get to say no to a lot of stuff. Sudipto is a debutante director. However, he came up with a fresh idea of making a film and telling his story. I have so far not played a character like this. In a way I am fortunate that I don’t usually get to repeat my characters. This is a film within a film. I am playing a filmmaker. And the narration allows me to explore my skills. If one can get hold of the character, one can really flaunt acting skills. There are scopes.”

Anindya is elated to be back working with Gourab Chatterjee. “Once again I have worked with Gourabda after Oti Uttam. According to me, he is brilliant in this film. He is playing an actor. The way he captured the nuances, insecurities and ambitions of an actor who wants to be a star is amazing. As actors, we all have such emotions. However, portraying that is not easy,” he said.

The film features Tnusree and Kamaleswar. “Tnusreedi is very professional and committed to her art. She practices, rehearses her lines. Kamaleswarda is very humble. We used to chat during our breaks. I learnt a lot from him,” Anindya said, adding, “We all enjoyed working in this film. I am really interested to see how people react to it.”
