Ranveer Allahbadia has faced significant criticism for his inappropriate remarks made during a YouTube episode of India's Got Latent. In response, the singer issued an apology via a video message on Monday. However, numerous individuals expressed their disapproval in the comments, condemning the YouTuber for making jokes that were considered offensive and derogatory. Additionally, singer B Praak has publicly criticized Ranveer, labelling his behaviour as 'pathetic.' He further disclosed that he had planned to appear on Ranveer's show but has since decided to withdraw from the engagement.

What B Praak said

B Praak shared a video message on his Instagram, stating in Hindi, “I was scheduled to participate in a podcast on Beer Biceps, but we decided to cancel it. The reason? We have all witnessed the unfortunate nature of his thoughts, particularly the language he employed during Samay Raina's show.”

‘This is not at all comedy’

He further stated, "This does not represent our Indian culture. What narratives are you sharing about your parents? What discussions are you engaging in regarding them? Is this truly comedy? The act of insulting others and teaching them to do the same—what kind of generation is this? I find it difficult to comprehend."

The artist criticized Ranveer's misguided perspective and questioned how he could advocate for spirituality on his podcast. He urged the comedians present not to endorse such behaviour. He emphasized that the YouTuber should focus on promoting Indian culture and values through his content, ensuring it does not negatively impact future generations.

A formal complaint has already been lodged against Allahbadia, comedian Samay Raina, social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, and the organizers of the show "India’s Got Latent." Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis remarked that while freedom of expression is important, it has its boundaries. Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi indicated her intention to bring this matter to the attention of parliament.
